As for the colored pencil thing, this looks helpful-ish: [link]
I suggest taking it lightly with the pencils, and making sure you don't have the pencil going all in one direction, but making it so people can't tell what direction you colored with the pencil. also, plan out what colors are going where exactly before coloring, so you don't make a mistake.
